"Like Mother, Like Daughter?" The Effects Of Growing Up In A Homosexual Home

Like Mother, Like Daughter? is an autobiography of the life of Jakii Edwards. Jakii, a child of a lesbian parent, grew up with the fear that she would be like her mother.  In this book, she tells the story of her relationship with her mother, and the impact it has on her life throughout chilhood, and her adult years before and after Christ.   Each Month, the author will run an excerpt from her book "Like Mother, Like Daughter?".

Chapter 1  "The First Clue" I awoke with a start to the sounds of moaning and heavy breathing.  The noises were obviously coming from someone lying very close to me in the bed where I was sleeping.  Terror gripped my body, and I was not about to open my eyes to see who it was!  As a twelve-year-old, I knew this was not just another bad dream.  The bed was moving and the sounds were slightly muffled, but most assuredly they were real...... No matter what was going on, I was a captive to the bed.  How long will this last? was another burnng question.  I had nowehre to go to escape their dreadful deed and no one to tell. Hatred for my mother became the only emotion I could feel.  Other emotions had long since been shut down from other horrors my mother had put me through....
