I. What is PROSTITUTION?
It means = To offer oneself for sale; to sell ones talents for base purposes.
II. What is a Prostitute?
One
who engages in promiscuous sexual activity for pay?
III. Why is the issue of prostitution not addressed in many of our churches and if it
is, why is it only directed to the women?
Many churches do not address the issue of prostitution among their church membership for a number of reasons.

Perhaps they are too embarrassed to approach the topic.
- Could be that some Pastors are just uninformed of its existence among their congregation and the affects it has on a persons
life.
- Maybe the Pastor does not want to offend anyone in his or her church.
IV. Look at what The Word tells us about some Prostitutes:
Jesus knew and spent time with Prostitutes. There has been a lot spoken from pulpits about Mary Magdalene
and what a sinful woman she was, however most preachers fail to speak about her johns!!!
Using a Bible Dictionary, look up the verses and read the stories about the following people.
Write a paper describing what you learned about each one of them.
- Rahab - She saved a few men from death
- Gomer - In the book of Hosea, GOD commands Hosea, who was a prophet, to marry a whore by the name of Gomer.
It was a terrible relationship so why would GOD have someone do that? Read the scriptures and write down
your answer.
- In Luke 7:36 - 50 we see Jesus ministering to prostitutes
- And let us not forget about sexual slaves mentioned in the Bible called concubines.
